i've never appreciated autofocus more so ed has an 80-200mm f/4 that has absolutely no electronics whatsoever.. you put the camera on manual mode and attach this thing, all while the camera complains there's no lens actually attached. and because it doesn't think a lens is attached, it doesn't display a light meter (i think i mentioned this in the last post) so you have to take test shots and check your histograms until you have a good grasp of the exposure settings you'll need. while it was a lot of extra work, i have to say i enjoyed the shots that were decently focused because it took that much more effort to get them. i guess it certainly helps me develop as a photographer when all the fancy pants auto stuff is unavailable and i have to actually (gasp) think about the proper settings and stuff..
