this was taken at f/11
i liked their jackets so i took a picture. i also liked the way they were standing.. there was plenty of light, so i stopped down to f/11 to get the dof with the intent of blurring stuff out in post.

breaking into street photography
shot from the hip using live view (okay i guess not really "shot from the hip" then, is it..) live view is good for this. haven't yet worked up the guts to not try and hide the fact that i'm taking pictures of people. i like that she's sitting in a blue seat. ¶ 11:34 PM 0 Comments

flash is AWESOME
my 430ex ii came. check it. friggin 0.3", iso friggin 1600, f/2.8, and IS results in this..
bounced flash from the same direction the ambient light was coming from.. 1/60, f/2.8, iso 400, no IS. baby. they don't call it a speedlite for nothin'..
