color temperature
there's a tungsten light on my nightstand that's illuminating my face. i have the camera white balance set to tungsten (about 3900K) which makes daylight (5200K) look very cold. anyways, i like the effect; excuse the subject matter. (as an aside.. you can probably tell that the stupid 'extra straight' shampoo/conditioner isn't working. i will soon be forced to resort to a straightening iron..)
edit: 5200K is actually very hot. (color temperature is the temperature (in kelvin) that a blackbody must be heated to so that it matches the desired color) we just tend to associate blue with cold.
